Frequently Asked Questions
Is there parking?
Garden Pilates: If there is space on my drive please do park here. Otherwise, please park on the street outside, while being considerate to the neighbours.
St Mary the Virgin: There is on site parking available.
Wokingham: There are lots of car parks in the centre of Wokingham, with the closest being Rose Street. Waitrose also has a car park you can use for 1.5 hours if you combine it with some shopping.
Winnersh Community Centre: There is on site parking available.
What if I’m ill?
Please do not attend class if you are feeling unwell. You can attend another class. Contact me for availability or I will roll over one credit a term if needed.
What if I can’t make a class?
We all deserve a holiday, need a break or have unavoidable appointments. I try to offer some flexibility within the payments and still offer a discount on weekly classes if you are booking 6 or more or group sessions, and 5 or more for Garden classes. You can also switch classes where there is availability.
What should I wear?
Anything you are comfortable in and can move in with ease.
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring a mat with you to the group classes. If you have your own, blocks, bands, chi balls etc you are welcome to bring them but I will always have these you can use.
I’ve never done Pilates before?
No problem. Every class is mixed ability and we always focus on alignment and technique. Each class is adapted to suit the majority in the class and alternative and modifications are always given.
How many are in a class?
There are no more than 4 in my Garden classes, no more than 12 in the Bradbury classes and no more than 10 in the Winnersh classes. This allows me to focus on everyone's alignment and technique, ensuring you get the most out of every class.
I’m not flexible can I still come?
Of course! I will help you work on your muscle imbalances, improving flexibility, strength and balance. Everybody is different and each of us have our own strengthens and weaknesses. Please don't worry or compare yourself to others.
